Thank you for your patience
as we all navigate through uncharted territory together as a family, community,
and nation. My hope first and foremost is that you and your loved ones are
safe, healthy and cared for.
I do want to provide an
update on the spring sports season. We have decided out of caution and
safety to cancel the spring sports season. We recognize that these actions are necessary to help prevent the spread
of this virus. We ask that Spring participants use their registration fees as a
credit towards Fall participation when we are able to return to the field. We
also know that the programs we run are important for our members and
participants, and they contribute to making the community a better place. We,
as a community, will get through this. And when we do, we want to be in the
best shape to support you and your family.
We
have staffed to prepare for the season and prepared all sites for our Spring
leagues so these costs are costs we can’t recoup. We ask for your help in this
if possible.
We
have outlined several options for you to consider:
- Donate your registration fee to the Y to offset our
costs and to help fund our community initiatives as mentioned below. (No
action needed by you)
- Move your registration fee to a future Y program within
the next 12 months.
- Receive a partial or full refund based upon if the
practices and games started for your registration.
If no games or practices had started, a full
refund or future credit is available.
If the season started with practices and or games a refund at 75% of your registration fee is available minus $20 which covers the uniform that was issued.
No refunds on any late fees.
Deadline for credits/refund is July 1, 2020
If
you choose option 2 or 3 please contact the YMCA at: resourceoperationcenter@ymcadallas.org
and we will process your request for the balance of the season not played.
Please provide the details of the player’s name, address and payment type you
used when registering.
Did
you know…
Currently, several
YMCA branches are offering Emergency YMCA Child Care for children of those who
serve as first responders, healthcare and hospital workers, government
officials, grocery workers?and others who must continue to work during this
challenging time. We are also supporting families through food
distribution, virtual programming and senior check-in’s. We also
have staffed and prepared all sites for our Spring leagues so those costs are
costs we can’t recoup. We ask for your help in this.

Thank
you again for your consideration of supporting the YMCA. We pray you and yours
are healthy and appreciate those that stand with us to support North Texas
families.
Thanks
